Niagara Parks Wedding Guidelines

The Niagara Parks Commission owns and maintains the parkland stretching along the entire Niagara River corridor from Fort Erie in the south to Niagara-on-the-Lake in the north. These parklands include parks and picnic areas, historical and conservation sites, golf courses, restaurants, several gift shops and attractions, a horticulture school and kilometres of recreational trails and scenic drives. Eight areas controlled by Niagara Parks have been designated for Wedding Ceremonies.

Receptions/Catering

Niagara Parks has five distinctive restaurants along the Niagara River and we would be pleased to assist you with your reception or catering needs. Details and photos are available on this website.

Outdoor Locations

The Wedding Arbour and the Willow Pond at the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens (Please note: the Wedding Arbour should not be confused with the James N. Allen Pergola located in the Rose Garden.)

Oakes Garden Theatre at the foot of Clifton Hill in the pavilions and under the curved canopy, across from the Maid of the Mist Plaza.(Please note: there is no reserved parking at this location.)

Mather Arch (near the Peace Bridge) in the Town of Fort Erie.

The Laura Secord Monument in Queenston Heights Park at the top of the Niagara Escarpment

The Floral Showhouse Gardens located just south of the Horseshoe Falls.

Indoor Locations

Historic Queenston Chapel in the Village of Queenston, Ontario.

The Floral Showhouse Tropical Foyer, just south of the Horseshoe Falls on the Niagara Parkway.

Booking Procedure

A wedding location will be booked for you upon receipt of the payment, which is non-refundable, according to the schedule below:

A three hour time period will be set aside for your use of the Botanical Gardens Wedding Sites, all other Wedding Sites will have a two hour time period.

The Niagara Region Telephone Directory lists local churches. Please telephone the minister at the church (denomination) of your choice directly to confirm costs and details for your performing your wedding ceremony.
